Lynn Stern

Lynn E. Stern is senior program officer for Thriving Cultures at the Surdna Foundation, a family foundation based in New York City with national grantmaking programs in environment, economy and culture. Lynn manages the Foundation’s $7.5 million US-based culture portfolio with grantmaking in three lines of work: artists engaging in social change; community driven design; teens’ artistic advancement. Lynn manages Prior to joining Surdna in 2007, Lynn was an independent consultant to philanthropic organizations and not-for profit groups in strategic planning, program design, management and evaluation. Fluent in Russian, Lynn is a specialist in cultural exchange between the U.S., Central and Eastern Europe and Russia.
